my (bad) experience with l’oréal colorista – colovista

PR Sample | Tralala, Sarah has again a new hair color, this time I choose baby blue well it´s light green/ turquoise meanwhile. Like I told you before I have the color from L´Oréal Colorista / Colovista it was a present at the FashionBloggerCafé. One month ago I dyed my hair with this product and I need to say that I was really happy with the result, at the beginning. Finally a brand which had the color I searched so long for.

The difference to the Direction products is big, for example the color stays way longer on the hair. The color is four weeks after I dyed it still on my hair. You can see this as a advantage or as a disadvantage, I personaly think it´s a disadvantage because brands need to hold what they say. It seems to me that this is a permanent color, my blonde ombre is far away from the original color to which the washout product should go back.

The good thing is you have a really good instruction and two pair of gloves in the packet. To be honest after dyeing my hair with the Colorista / Colovista products my hair felt a bit healthier than when I dyed it with Direction… Apart from that I see nothing good in this product, like I told you I really liked it at the beginning but after my second hair wash the original color was away and I had light green/ turquoise hair and it won´t go away (I wash my hair every second day).

I mean the color is pretty too but I wanted baby blue hair and not light green/ turquoise. I think I need to go to the hair dresses and spend a lot of money to get my normal hair color back, sadly. That was deffinitly not what I expected from this product.

The one day version is really good I tested it two times and I also think the permanent version will be good but this two week thing is just not what it promises. I advise to thing about using this twice…

Addendum:

Meanwhile they changed the name from Colorista to Colovista because of bad press (I think), the product is definitly the same. Also after I had this green color for a few more weeks (in the end it were at least 3 months) I went to the hair dresser and paid a lot money to get this out.

What I can recommend to you and what I did not know then is that there are shampoos for color education. I tried one a while ago and was pretty surprised at how well it worked – it did not break your hair either. I’ve used Colour B4, that you can buy online or at DM or Rossmann.
