Like everyone knows it´s really important to drink enough, especially now when it´s summer and really warm. So I put some tips together which help me a lot that I don’t forget to drink enough water. In my case it´s that I just forget it because I have mostly a lot of stuff to do. I just started a new job as a marketing assistant for example. First you need to find out what´s your ideal amount of water to drink on a day. I did it on www.wasserbedarf-rechner.de, if you don´ t like this site there are a lot other pages or apps you can find through Google.
1. tip – Use a reminder app.
I downloaded an app which reminds me every hour (or how much I want to be reminded) that I need to drink water. By the way you can set a goal and every time you finished a glas or a bottle you can write it down. I think this is really convenient for drinking more. The name of the app I use is “Mein Wasser”. There are a lot apps like this one at the Google Playstore and Apple Store you can just type in “water” and a lot apps appear.
2. tip – Drink out of a cute bottle/glass.
If you take a bottle or a glass which looks really good you´re automatically more motivated to drink out of it. Like you say it with food, you eat with your eyes (first). It´s just the same with drinking in my opinion. My favorite bottle is from Blender, it´s originally for protein shakes but I take this one not only to the gym. The color is so nice, I love pink. I already showed you this bottle in my “What´s in my bag… – Work Edition” post, maybe you remember it.
3. tip – Take always a bottle with you.
You should always have a water bottle with you, no matter where you go. You go to the park? Take a water bottle with you. You go shopping? Take a water bottle with you. Just always take one with you.
4. tip – Use a drinking straw.
Using a drinking straw isn´t just more fun you automatically drink way more then without one. It also looks way better with in my opinion. By the way there are also bottles with integrated drinking straws.
5. tip – Put in some flavors.
I can´t imagine that I ever get bored of normal water but it´s really refreshing, especially in summer, to add some flavors. I specially like to add some lemon or lime slices. Everyone has a different taste so just add whatever you like.
6. tip – Refill the bottle/ glass immediately.
Right after a glass or a bottle is empty you should refill it. So you´re never out of water if you don´t find a store or a fountain immediately because that´s also one of the excuses to drink too less water. If you don´t have a bottle of water directly with you, you´d maybe putt off and drink for a longer time nothing. If you have a bottle with you, you drink directly out of it when your thirsty.
