Last weekend, my boyfriend and I embarked on a daring adventure in the freezing cold, teaming up with the talented Odett from Odett & Erik for a photoshoot. I have to admit, I was overjoyed when I received a direct message request for this shoot. Typically, photographers approach me for individual shoots, but this time, they wanted to capture both Tristan and me. Since our photoshoot in the Swiss mountains for “The Basement,” there hadn’t been any new, noteworthy images of us. Sure, I had a collection of cute selfies on my iPhone, but those just didn’t feel the same.
I must say that it was bone-chillingly cold last Sunday. However, for the results we achieved, every second spent shivering was entirely worthwhile. I have completely fallen in love with these photos, and I’ll probably be the one revisiting this blog post the most. It’s not about being conceited, but these pictures exude a sense of streetwear couple goals. In this era of hashtags, we could easily be considered #streetwearcouplegoals or simply #couplegoals. Anyway, I believe we look incredibly cute together. These photos take me back to my Tumblr days when I endlessly scrolled through the hashtag, dreaming of such a relationship.
Did you know that it’s been “us against the world” for a remarkable 4 years as of this May? That’s quite an achievement, isn’t it? On one hand, it feels like we met for the first time at the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin just yesterday. On the other hand, it seems like there was never a time when we weren’t together. Perhaps I should share the story of how we met and came together on our anniversary. Or I could wait another year and turn it into a jubilee celebration. Wow, 5 years would be truly incredible at our age. Okay, okay, I’ll stop thinking out loud.
As for our outfits, Tristan and I found ourselves unintentionally decked out in Supreme from head to toe. Our wardrobe room is practically a shrine to this brand. Let’s dive into a more detailed look at our ensembles.
Tristan’s Supreme Ensemble
Tristan’s outfit epitomizes Supreme’s style. His only accessory is a Supreme New Era collaboration hat, a testament to his streetwear devotion. The camo pants he’s sporting hail from Supreme’s SS 2017 collection, and I almost bought them during my London trip last year with my friend Hannah. However, as fate would have it, the available sizes didn’t quite match my needs, so I passed. The sweater Tristan is wearing holds a special place in his heart, and it’s been in his closet since I first met him. It’s the Supreme Felt Arc Crewneck from FW 2012, and I have to say, it’s remarkably cozy. To complete the look, Tristan opted for Nike Court Force sneakers from a 2005 collaboration with Stussy.
My Minimalistic Ensemble
My outfit was intentionally minimalistic, and interestingly, most of the pieces I’m wearing don’t technically belong to me. Both the long sleeve and the bobble cap belong to Tristan, but we’ve long had the habit of sharing whatever fits the other person. It’s a reflection of our motto: “What’s mine is yours.” The bobble hat hails from Supreme’s FW 2012 collection, while the long sleeve with its cool print is from Supreme’s FW 2014 collection. I’ve repurposed it as a dress. The tights and overknee socks are from H&M, and I’ve paired them with some comfy Old Skool Vans. Yes, I know I featured them in my last outfit post, but they’re simply made for this look. The sunglasses are an eBay find, and I confess, I’m not entirely sure about their brand. Lastly, the coat is a beloved hand-me-down from my grandma.
In conclusion, our venture into the freezing cold for this photoshoot was a chilly adventure worth every shiver. These images capture our unique streetwear style as a couple and our enduring love, which has already seen four amazing years. Whether it’s unintentionally coordinating Supreme outfits or sharing wardrobe essentials, our journey together is a testament to love, fashion, and enduring style.
