berlin fashion week lookbook fw 2019/20

von Sarah Kuhn

That the MBFW Berlin outfits will come before the Diary stays, but this time I do not make a single blog post for every look. I have created an XXL lookbook of my fashion week outfits for you. I do not know yet, what I will do next season, I like both ways of displaying the outfits.

Which version do you prefer?

Despite actually having more time between the shows, it was very difficult to make good enough photos of my outfits. First of all, the light was so bad – every day and the “shootings” were done in a very short time only with a mobile phone. I plan on not losing sight of this point next season, like this time. Outfit number four has probably come out the best, although I have still made a stupid mistake.

Day 1: White Combat Boots With Yellow Plaid Pants

At the end of November, I published a little guide about grunge style. As I mentioned in the post, my style is a mixture of grunge and streetwear. In my first outfit of this lookbook, this can be recognized again.

Already in summer, I wanted to buy a pair of plaid pants. I saw some pretty green ones but left them at the store for some unexplainable reason. Plaid pants are trendy this fall/winter, especially in red, but since I do not want to walk around like the rest of the world, I was at least looking for a different color. I finally found some in November at Shein, I grabbed those yellow plaid loose pants during my Black Friday bargain hunt. The pants are pretty thin, I bet you think brrr because of the temperatures – but with a long coat, as I wear it here, you do not freeze a bit.

Up there, I opted for a combo of a white sweater with the net look and a white t-shirt. I bought my sweater second-hand in Switzerland, which is from Vince. and the t-shirt is from Supreme. I think this version to wear a top is pretty cool, as it is often too cold for t-shirts in winter, so I can wear my latest pick-ups or all-time favorites comfortably without freezing.

Matching my top combo I also put on white shoes, better said I wore a pair of boots by Dr. Martens. I have already contributed this in my last outfit post, so you can see how much I like these booties.

As mentioned above, the pants are pretty thin, so I had to wear a long coat. You may already know the beige coat, I inherited it from my grandmother and have worn it very often since her death.

Otherwise, I took a small sweet bag from Dior with me and wore my favorite jewelry. The aquamarine ring is from my mum, the watch is from Gucci, the silver necklace is from my grandparents from Tiffany & Co. and the golden one is from Stella & Dot. (PR sample). Oh, and I made my nails yellow to match them to my pants.

Day 2: Kim Possible Vibes | Cargo Hose With Plateau Boots

This outfit was probably my favorite of all and it also pleased my fellow humans the most. I was approached quite often that day and got compliments for it. The first thought, when I saw myself in this outfit was: that has something from Kim Possible. The only thing that was wrong with the outfit was the orange camo pants. Otherwise, it was pretty much identical, even my hair color is like Kim’s. Unfortunately, the photos were not the best but my iPhone is just not made for this kind of weather. Sad, sad Sarah.

The beanie is from Supreme, which gives super warm. Since it is so fat, I always hear a tad less. The tightly cropped sweater is from Zara, it is very old. In the meantime, I no longer buy clothes from Zara, as I disagree with many things the brand does. Just throwing away already purchased stuff, though I liked it, however, is a no-go.

Anyway, the pants are from an unknown Japanese brand, but you can find them similar at the moment everywhere. The cool boots are from Buffalo, I have a real hate love for those. For one, they’re very comfortable and lightweight, but the sole is as stupid as no other. It is pretty soft and all the stones are stuck in the material. When you walk the shoes are loud and at home, you can take all the stones out first (yes, the notches remain in the material). Well, the main thing is that the shoes are comfortable and keep me warm through the cold days. Anyway, my jacket is from H&M, the little bag is from Carhartt and the pin on my bag is from Takashi Murakami. Like the day before I wore my Gucci watch and some different old necklaces.

Day 3: Matching Is Everything | Mesh Top With Mom Jeans

My outfit from the third day was completely adjusted to the sneakers. I tried to reflect the colors of the shoe in the complete look. Orange was my hair, black was the beanie (yes, that’s the same one as on day two – I have only one in black), blue are the jeans, and beige was the fake fur coat and my beloved Lady Dior.

Kim and I shot this look right in front of the E-Werk. I love how my outfit comes to life in front of the gray wall.

Silly me just made photos my “inside” look, so in the pictures, neither the bag nor the coat can be seen. Since I’ve worn both on several posts, I’ll just link the outfits to you: this would be the bag (or in this post on day four), and here is one with the coat.

Anyway, the beanie is again from Supreme, I got the mesh top on eBay, the sporty bra is from Pepe Jeans and the Mom Jeans are from my mom, lol – and she bought them back in the days at Armani. The shoes are from an Instagram collaboration with Skechers and limited. The pretty and above all comfortable sneakers came out together with One Piece. The unseen bag was from Dior and the unrecognizable coat from NA-KD – the coat was a PR sample.

Day 4: Casual Meets Chic | Designer Bag With Dungarees

The last day was even more relaxed than the first. Tristan and I went to work and after this, we watched one small show. So the outfit of the day had to be office suitable. First I chose a loose turtleneck sweater which I ordered from Wish. The fabric is quite strange – when I ordered it, I thought it is cotton but it’s something synthetic that reminded me of a bikini fabric. Well, to this strange but also cute top I wore dungarees. The dungarees are from Monki and the shoes are from Buffalo, as on the second day. I put on my grandma’s coat, a beret from Boohoo, and my beloved Lady Dior.

You’re probably wondering why I took the Lady Dior again since I wore it already the day before. To be honest, I got up too late and did not have time to change bags. The same with the boots, which were right in front of my nose, fit the outfit, and are just super comfortable.

I’m already looking forward to spring when I can wear this look without a big coat. I can imagine myself only in this striped turtleneck, the dungarees, and some sneakers at a park.
